…Well not really. She actually had a stunt double for the famous “Dirty Dancing” lift with super hottie “Crazy Stupid Love” co-star Ryan Gosling. Kenny Wormald as Ren MacCormack in 2011 FootlooseWait, who is that guy from “Footloose?” Ask your parents, and they’ll say Kevin Bacon. Ask ME and we’ll say Kenny Wormald. For years Kenny has been dancing in plain sight, but now with the release of the 2011 “Footloose,” Kenny two-steps his way front and center with another dancing pro Julianne Hough. Here are 10 things to know about Kenny Wormald:

He’s from Boston…
But he’s lived in LA for the last eight years. Don’t think he’s turned Hollywood just yet, he’s always repping his hometown with his Boston tattoo and Red Sox gear.

 He’s a professional dancer

Um, can you tell? He’s been dancing since he was six year old! Kenny has danced in videos with mega pop stars like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, The Pussycat Dolls and Chris Brown.

He liked *Nsync

“I liked *Nsync, I can admit it,” He told Jimmy Kimmel. Kenny used to try and learn Justin Timberlake’s moves. It definitely came in handy— Kenny eventually got to dance on Justin’s FutureSex/LoveSounds Tour.

Justin Timberlake got Kenny the ‘Footloose’ role
Talk about an awesoME letter of recommendation! After touring with Kenny during his FutureSex/LoveSounds Tour, Justin Timberlake mentioned Kenny Wormald to “Footloose” Director Craig Brewer.

His dad was not supportive…
…of Kenny wearing tights, initially. But as a ballet dancer, he had to wear tights, his football team wore tights under their uniforms; there really wasn’t a way for Kenny to escape tights. Kenny’s dad got over it. Both of his parents have been supportive of his passion for dance since the very beginning. Kenny took both of them to the LA premiere of the movie.

He was bullied because he danced
When you’re a guy doing ballet, jazz and tap dance, it’s a little tough walking down the halls of school. Kenny didn’t let that hold him down; he kept dancing and following his dreams. We’re willing to bet that when his haters see “Footloose,” they’ll wish Kenny would teach them a dance or two.

Kenny is friends with his Grandma on Facebook
“I gotta watch what I say now on that stuff,” he said. We’ll have to send him some instructions on Facebook’s privacy settings! ;). He has a Twitter account, too. Check out the “Official Kenny Wormald Twitta,” @Kenny_Wormald.

People tried to get Kenny to change his name

In Hollywood, they say you need a good strong name with a ring to it. Wormald isn’t a name you hear everyday so people tried to convince Kenny to change it. Kenny stood by his guns and refused. A good move? Well, seeing that he’s becoming a household name proves his talent is speaking for itself.

You’ve seen him in ‘Glee’

Kenny said he danced in five episodes in “Glee.” He barely got camera time. But you can see him (kind of)  in the second season’s Lady Gaga episode, “Theatricality.” He’s one of the dancers with the red costume that covers his entire face!

Kenny loves teaching dance classes

Both Kenny and his character Ren MacCormack have a knack for teaching smooth dance moves. It’s truly something Kenny loves to do. Maybe you can catch him teaching a class at Millennium Dance Complex or Debbie Reynolds Studio.
